Although I am a proud grandaughter of Francesco Montelli, one of the components of this wonderful Quartet, it has been very difficult for me to get in touch with the families of the other ones with the exception of Giorgio Oblach (son of the renowned Cellist Camillo Oblach) who has generously  given us information and material regarding his father and the Quartet.  Please, click on Camillo Oblach's photo on the left to go to  his site.

Due to this circunstance and because over the time there were different violoncellists, I am including only a concise briefing of the musical activities of the Quartet.

If anyone has some information about the other musicians that formed part of it, I would be more than happy to add them to this very site which I dedicate, with so much love and respect, to my grandfather Francesco Montelli as well as to all of them.

I also thank and give credit to my father Enrico Montelli (son of Francesco Montelli) who so generously has contributed in helping me to get the materials for the site and also who took the burden to translate into English, Spanish and Italian the different sections.

Malgrado io sia nipote di Francesco Montelli( e molto orgogliosa di esserlo), uno dei componenti di questo magnifico Quartetto, non mi è stato possibile entrare i contatto con i parenti degli altri musicisti che lo hanno composto per ottenere piú informazioni a tutti essi relative,  fatta eccezione del Sig. Giorgio Oblach (figlio del rinomato violoncellista Camillo Oblach) che con generositá ci ha trasmesso informazioni e materiale riguardanti tanto suo padre come il Quartetto.
Dovuto a questa circostanza ed anche perché ci furono differenti violoncellisti in determinati periodi mi limiteró ad una breve menzione circa la traiettoria concertistica del Quartetto.  Nel caso qualcuno avesse ulteriori informazioni al riguardo, io sarei felicissima di includerle in questo sito che dedico con tanto amore e rispetto sia a mio nonno Francesco Montelli come  ai magnifici musicisti che hanno composto questo famosissimo quartetto..
 
Do le grazie a mio padre Enrico Montelli sia per avermi aiutato ad ottenere  le notizie relative a questo sito sia per aver curato le traduzioni in Inglese, Spagnolo ed Italiano delle differenti sezioni.

A pesar de ser yo nieta de Francesco Montelli ( y muy orgullosa de serlo) uno de los componentes de este magnifico cuarteto, no me ha sido posible  contactar los parientes de los otros musicos de ese conjunto para obtener más informaciones relativas a todos ellos, con excepción del Sr. Giorgio Oblach ( hijo del afamado violoncelista Camillo Oblach) quién, con generosidad de animo nos puso a disposición material e informaciones tanto de su padre como del Quartetto. Debido a esta circustancia me limitaré  a una breve mención acerca de la trayectoria conciertistica del cuarteto . En el caso de que alguien tuviese ulteriores informaciones al respecto, con mucho gusto las incluyera en este sitio que,con mucho amor y mucha consideración,  dedico a mi abuelo Francesco Montelli como a los magnificos musicos que pertenecieron a este famosisimo cuarteto.

 

Doy las gracias a mi padre, Enrico Montelli, tanto por haberme ayudado a recoger las informaciones relativas al sitio como por las traducciones en Inglés, Español e Italiano de las diferentes secciones.
